AN ACT CONCERNING A REVIEW OF THE QUALIFICATIONS AND
CERTIFICATION PROCESS FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Department of Education to review and compare the qualification 2
requirements for special education teachers in other states and to make 3
recommendations on how to revise the qualifications and streamline the 4
certification process for such teachers. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Education to conduct a review and make
recommendations regarding the qualifications and certification process
for special education teachers.
