AN ACT ELIMINATING THE REQUIREMENT THAT EMPLOYERS PROVIDE PAID SICK LEAVE IN THE EVENT OF CLOSURE BY ORDER OF A PUBLIC OFFICIAL. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That subsection (a) of section 31-57t of the general statutes be 1 amended to remove closure by order of a public official due to a public 2 health emergency from the purposes permitted for an employee to use 3 paid sick leave. 4 Statement of Purpose: To eliminate the requirement that employers provide paid sick leave to employees in the event of closure by order of a public official.
