AN ACT CONCERNING DRIVER'S LICENSE AND IDENTITY CARD
RENEWALS AT VETERANS' STAND DOWN EVENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 14-11k of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
the Department of Motor Vehicles shall renew a motor vehicle 2
operator's license or identity card for any applicant who is a veteran 3
while attending a one-day event described in subsection (b) of said 4
section if such license or card is due to expire within the next twelve 5
months. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Motor Vehicles, at Veterans' Stand Down
events, to renew the driver's licenses and identity cards of veterans if
such licenses or cards are due to expire within the next twelve months.
