AN ACT CONCERNING ABSENCES FOR OBSERVANCE OF A
RELIGIOUS HOLIDAY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require a student's absence 1
from school for observance of a widely recognized religious holiday to 2
be counted as an excused absence. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To require a student's absence for observance of a widely recognized
religious holiday to be counted as an excused absence.
