AN ACT REQUIRING THE SECRETARY OF THE STATE TO CONDUCT
RECANVASSES FOR ELECTIONS INVOLVING STATE OFFICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 148 of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
the Secretary of the State conduct the recanvass for any election 2
involving a state office, with additional staffing support from the 3
Auditors of Public Accounts as may be necessary. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require that the Secretary of the State conduct the recanvass for any
election involving a state office.
