AN ACT CONCERNING REFERENCES TO SUICIDE IN THE GENERAL
STATUTES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to replace the term "commit 1
suicide" with "death by suicide" in the general statutes. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To align references to suicide in the general statutes with current best
practices in mental health advocacy.
