AN ACT CONCERNING EXIT EXAMS FOR GRADE PROMOTION IN
PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Department of Education to develop exit exams for each grade and 2
require each student to achieve a passing score on such exit exams in 3
order to be promoted to the next grade. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that students are ready to advance to the next grade level.
