AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE USS GROTON SAIL MONUMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3
three hundred thousand dollars, in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, 4
the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Economic and 5
Community Development for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid 6
to the USS Groton Sail Foundation to complete construction of the USS 7
Groton Sail Monument. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding to complete construction of the USS Groton Sail
Monument.
