AN ACT CONCERNING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
ON GENDER-SPECIFIC SPORTS TEAMS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND
COLLEGE ATHLETICS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That titles 10 and 10a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
any local or regional board of education or public institution of higher 2
education from allowing any person to compete on a gender-specific 3
sports team that does not match the gender on such person's birth 4
certificate. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the health, safety and scholarship opportunities of female
athletes.
