AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR
REHABILITATION OF UTILITIES ASSOCIATED WITH CONNECTING
NORWICH PUBLIC WORKS THROUGH THE FORMER NORWICH
STATE HOSPITAL PROPERTY AND EXTENDING TO THE PRESTON
INCINERATOR SITE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1
issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2
general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3
five million dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the 4
Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for the purpose of 5
providing a grant-in-aid to rehabilitate and upgrade the utilities, 6
including, but not limited to, the sewer and water lines and other 7
equipment such as pump stations, associated with connecting Norwich 8
Public Works through the former Norwich State Hospital property in 9
the towns of Norwich and Preston and extending to the Preston 10
Incinerator site in the town of Preston. 11 Proposed Bill No. 920

Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding to rehabilitate and upgrade the utilities associated
with connecting Norwich Public Works through the former Norwich
State Hospital property and extending to the Preston Incinerator site.
