AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
CERTAIN OBESITY TREATMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to require 1
individual and group health insurance policies to provide coverage for 2
certain obesity treatments, including, but not limited to, bariatric 3
surgery. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require individual and group health insurance policies to provide
coverage for certain obesity treatments, including, but not limited to,
bariatric surgery.
