AN ACT CONCERNING THE REGULATION OF STOP LOSS INSURANCE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to (1) increase 1 the attachment point for stop loss insurance policies for certain self-2 insured small businesses, and (2) require the Insurance Commissioner 3 to report on the feasibility of implementing a minimum loss ratio and 4 other consumer protections for stop loss insurance. 5 Statement of Purpose: To (1) increase the attachment point for stop loss insurance policies for certain self-insured small businesses, and (2) require the Insurance Commissioner to report on the feasibility of implementing a minimum loss ratio and other consumer protections for stop loss insurance.
