1818 AN ACT IMPOSING FINES AGAINST PERSONS WHO PARTICIPATE
1919 IN MARRIAGE FRAUD.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That chapter 815e of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
2424 any person who participates in a marriage and any person who is 2
2525 authorized to perform a marriage in this state who participates in or 3
2626 performs a marriage while knowing such marriage is for purposes of 4
2727 evading any provision of United States immigration law shall be fined 5
2828 not less than two thousand dollars and not more than ten thousand 6
2929 dollars per violation. 7

3131 To prevent knowing and wilful immigration and marriage fraud.
