AN ACT REGULATING THE BRIGHTNESS OF MOTOR VEHICLE 
HEADLIGHTS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 14-96b of the general statutes be amended to regulate the 1 
brightness of motor vehicle headlights to ensure safer driving 2 
conditions and less visual disruption for other motorists. 3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To reduce the brightness of motor vehicle headlights to improve road 
safety and reduce glare.
