AN ACT PROHIBITING PERSONS CONVICTED OF SERIOUS
FIREARM OFFENSES AND SEXUAL ASSAULT -RELATED CRIMES
FROM RECEIVING RISK REDUCTION EARNED CREDITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 18 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit those 1
convicted of serious firearm offenses and sexual assault-related crimes 2
from receiving risk reduction earned credits. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To provide for tougher sentences for illegal gun possession and use and
sexual assault.
