18	19		AN ACT CONCERNING THE LEGISLATIVE COMMISSIONERS'
19	20		RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TECHNICAL REVISIONS TO STATUTES
20	21		CONCERNING ENERGY AND TECHNOLOGY.
21	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
22	23		Assembly convened:

24	25		Section 1. Subsection (a) of section 16-50j of the general statutes is 1
25	26		repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 2
26	27		1, 2025): 3
27	28		(a) There is established the Connecticut Siting Council, hereinafter 4
28	29		referred to in this [title] chapter as the "council", which shall be within 5
29	30		the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for 6
30	31		administrative purposes only. 7
31	32		Sec. 2. Subsection (h) of section 16-50l of the general statutes is 8
32	33		repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 9
33	34		1, 2025): 10
34	35		(h) Any applicant [that] who submits an initial application under this 11
35	36		section for a facility described in subdivision (1) of subsection (a) of 12

42	45		of the initial application for additional facilities described in said 15
43	46		subdivision that will either be physically connected to the facility 16
44	47		included in the initial application or located within five miles of such 17
45	48		facility shall indicate any such intention that is foreseeable in the initial 18
46	49		application, and provide any information regarding such additional 19
47	50		facilities required by the council. 20
48	51		This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
