1819 AN ACT CONCERNING VALUE -BASED MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT
1920 TO NURSING HOMES.
2021 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2324 Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) There is established a working 1
2425 group to study the Department of Social Services' quality metrics 2
2526 program for nursing home services established pursuant to section 17b-3
2627 340d of the general statutes. 4
2728 (b) The working group shall consist of the chairpersons of the joint 5
2829 standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of 6
2930 matters relating to aging, who shall serve as chairpersons of the working 7
3031 group. The chairpersons shall appoint members, including, but not 8
3132 limited to, the Commissioner of Social Services, or the commissioner's 9
3233 designee, and professionals with expertise in Medicaid reimbursement 10
3334 for nursing home services. 11
3435 (c) The chairpersons shall schedule the first meeting of the working 12
3536 group, which shall be held not later than sixty days after the effective 13

4144 (d) The administrative staff of the joint standing committee of the 15
4245 General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to aging shall 16
4346 serve as the administrative staff of the working group. 17
4447 (e) Not later than January 1, 2026, the working group shall submit a 18
4548 report on its findings and recommendations to the joint standing 19
4649 committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 20
4750 relating to aging, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of 21
4851 the general statutes. The working group shall terminate on the date that 22
4952 it submits such report or January 1, 2026, whichever is later. 23
