1819 AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF STATE AGENCY RESPONSE
1920 TIMES TO FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REQUESTS.
2021 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2324 Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Secretary of the Office of Policy 1
2425 and Management shall conduct a study of the response times of state 2
2526 agencies to requests for public records made under the Freedom of 3
2627 Information Act, as defined in section 1-200 of the general statutes. Not 4
2728 later than February 15, 2026, the secretary shall submit a report of the 5
2829 findings of such study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-6
2930 4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General 7
3031 Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to government 8
3132 oversight. Such report shall include a summary of average state agency 9
3233 response times, information about when unreasonable response times 10
3334 were the basis of a complaint filed with the Freedom of Information 11
3435 Commission and any recommended legislation to address any findings 12
