1819 AN ACT CONCERNING A FIRE SUPPRESSION INFRASTRUCTURE
1920 GRANT PROGRAM.
2021 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2324 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2025) For the fiscal year ending June 1
2425 30, 2026, and each fiscal year thereafter, the Department of 2
2526 Administrative Services shall establish a grant program to reimburse 3
2627 municipalities, each with a population of not more than ten thousand, 4
2728 for the cost of fire suppression infrastructure, including, but not limited 5
2829 to, fire hydrants. Not later than October 1, 2025, the department shall 6
2930 post in a conspicuous place on the department's Internet web site a 7
3031 description of the grant program, including, but not limited to, 8
3132 eligibility criteria and the application process for the program. A 9
3233 municipality shall apply for such grants on such forms and in such 10
3334 manner as determined by the department. For purposes of this section, 11
3435 "municipality" has the same meaning as provided in section 7-323j of the 12
