1219 AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY AND
1320 ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION'S REVIEW OF SURPLUS STATE
1421 PROPERTY.
1522 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

1825 Section 1. Subdivision (1) of subsection (c) of section 4b-21 of the 1
1926 general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu 2
2027 thereof (Effective from passage): 3
2128 (c) (1) Not later than thirty days after receipt of such notification from 4
2229 the secretary, the following agencies shall determine and notify the 5
2330 secretary in writing if the land, improvement or interest serves the 6
2431 following needs: (A) The Commissioner of Economic and Community 7
2532 Development, whether it can be used or adapted for economic 8
2633 development or exchanged for property that can be used for economic 9
2734 development; (B) the Commissioner of Transportation, whether it can 10
2835 be used for transportation purposes; (C) the Commissioner of Energy 11
2936 and Environmental Protection, whether it can be used for open space 12
30-purposes, for the siting of a renewable energy facility or to otherwise 13
31-support the department's mission; (D) the Commissioner of Agriculture, 14
32-whether it can be used for farming or agricultural purposes; (E) the 15
33-Commissioner of Veterans Affairs, whether it can be used for veterans' 16
34-housing; (F) the Commissioner of Children and Families, whether it can 17
35-be used to support the department's mission; (G) the Commissioner of 18 Substitute Bill No. 1495
37+purposes, for the siting of a renewable energy facility to serve existing 13
38+or proposed state facilities or to otherwise support the department's 14

47-Commissioner of Early Childhood, whether it can be used for the 26
48-provision of early childhood care and early childhood education 27
