19	20		AN ACT MAKING MINOR AND TECHNICAL REVISIONS TO AN
20	21		ABSENTEE VOTING STATUTE.
21	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
22	23		Assembly convened:

24	25		Section 1. Section 9-150d of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
25	26		following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2025): 2
26	27		A voting tabulator approved by the Secretary of the State under 3
27	28		section 9-242 may be used to count absentee ballots in any municipality 4
28	29		at an election, primary or referendum, provided the registrars of voters 5
29	30		of the municipality approve the use of such tabulator and the Secretary 6
30	31		of the State prescribes specifications for (1) the security, testing, set-up, 7
31	32		operation and canvassing of the tabulator, (2) such absentee ballots, and 8
32	33		(3) the training of election, primary or referendum officials, as 9
33	34		applicable, in the use of the tabulator. 10
34	35		This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
