AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE COSTS TO TRANSPORT
CHILDREN TO SCHOOL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than February 1, 2026, the 1
Commissioner of Education shall report, in accordance with the 2
provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing 3
committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 4
relating to appropriations and the budgets of state agencies and 5
education concerning the cost per school district for (1) transportation 6
of special education students to school, and (2) transportation of all 7
students to school. 8
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
Section 1 from passage New section
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Commissioner of Education to report on the costs to
transport children to school.
