| 21 | 21 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |
| 22 | 22 | Assembly convened: | |

| 24 | 24 | Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than February 1, 2026, the 1 | |
| 25 | 25 | Commissioner of Education shall report, in accordance with the 2 | |
| 26 | 26 | provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing 3 | |
| 27 | 27 | committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 4 | |
| 28 | 28 | relating to appropriations and the budgets of state agencies and 5 | |
| 29 | 29 | education concerning the cost per school district for (1) transportation 6 | |
| 30 | 30 | of special education students to school, and (2) transportation of all 7 | |
| 31 | 31 | students to school. 8 | |
| 32 | 32 | This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following | |
