2020 To repeal the independent procurement authority of the District of Columbia Public Schools. 17

2222 BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF TH E DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this 19
2323 act may be cited as the “District of Columbia Public Schools Procurement Authority Amendment 20
2424 Act of 2023”. 21
2525 Sec. 2. (a) Section 201(b)(5) of the Procurement Practices Reform Act of 2010, effective 22
2626 April 8, 2011 (D.C. Law 18-371; D.C. Official Code § 2-352.01(b)(5) is repealed. 23
2727 Sec. 3. Section 105(c)(8)(B) of the Public Education Reform Amendment Act of 2007, 24
2828 effective June 12, 2007 (D.C. Law 17-9; D.C. Official Code § 38-174(c)(8)(B)) is repealed. 25
2929 Sec. 4. Fiscal impact statement. 26
3030 The Council adopts the fiscal impact statement in the committee report as the fiscal 27
3131 impact statement required by section 4a of the General Legislative Procedures Act of 1975, 28
3232 approved October 16, 2006 (120 Stat. 2038; D.C. Official Code § 1-301.47a). 29
3333 Sec. 5. Effective date. 30
3434 This act shall take effect following approval by the Mayor (or in the event of veto by the 31
3535 mayor, action by the Council to override the veto), a 30-day period of Congressional review as 32

3838 provided in section 602(c)(1) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved December 33
3939 24, 1973, (87 Stat. 813; D.C. Official Code § 1-206.02(c)(1)), and publication in the District of 34
4040 Columbia Register. 35
