15-WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is a multi-sport star athlete at Archbishop Carroll High
16-School in Washington, D.C.;
17-WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is the number one athlete in the country and has set multiple
18-high school track records;
19-WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor was selected as an Under Armour All-American for his
20-accomplishments on the football field;
21-WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor has a 4.4 GPA, is a member of the National Honors Society,
22-and is a 12th Grade student ambassador. Math is his favorite subject in school;
23-WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor won the 2022 Gatorade State Football Player of the Year
24-award for Washington, D.C.;
25-WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor finished the 2022 season with 45 tackles, 16.5 tackles for a
26-loss, 5.5 sacs, and 2 fumble recoveries for Archbishop Carroll High School, which won the division tournament title;
27-WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is already a two- time Gatorade State Boys Track & Field
28-Player of the Year;
29-WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is the son of Azuka Harbor, a former professional soccer
30-player who competed for the Nigerian National team and several other Major League Soccer
31-teams, and Sandra Harbor, a pharmacist;
32-WHEREAS, Nyckoles Harbor is the brother to Giovanna Harbor, a Pennsylvania State

39-RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, T hat this
40-resolution may be cited as the “Nyckoles Harbor 2022 Gatorade State Football Player of the Year
41-for Washington, D.C. Recognition Resolut ion of 2023”.
42-Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia recognizes and congratulates Nyckoles
43-Harbor on winning the 2022 Gatorade State Football Player of the Year award for Washington,
44-D.C.
45-Sec. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
