16-WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover was born on June 10, 1974 in Albany, New York to
17-Dr. Lillie Beasley Glover and Major Herman W. Glover Jr;
18-WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover was raised in Orangeburg, South Carolina as a
19-member of the Williams Chapel AME Church and an affiliate of Evening Light Church of God in Laurens, SC.;
20-WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover completed her secondary education at Wilkinson
21-High School in Orangeburg, SC, and at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Architectural Engineering;
22-WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover completed her post -secondary education at John
23-Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland with a Business Leadership Development Certificate and The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. with a Master of Science degree in
24-Engineering/Construction Engineering Management;
25-WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover spent 26 years working on her passion in various
26-architectural and engineering projects throughout the District of Columbia and surrounding area;
27-WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover held roles within the construction industry that
28-included principal (CEO), partner, managing director, project manager, senior facilities engineer,
29-as well as architectural engineering coordinator for private and public sector clients;
30-WHEREAS, in her career Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover ended her time as the Vice President
31-of Business Development, Delon Hampton Associates, Chartered;
32-WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover had a passion for developing leaders in her field
33-and helping others within the construction industry grow;

38-WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover was an advocate for inclusion and equity for women
39-and Black professionals within the engineering, architecture and infrastructure industries; and
40-WHEREAS, Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover leaves behind a legacy of compassion for her family
41-and for pursuing her passion of engineering and business leadership development.
42-RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, T hat this
43-resolution may be cited as the “Jacquelyn Renee’ Glover Posthumous Ceremonial Recognition
44-Resolution of 2023”.
45-Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia recognizes and honors Jacquelyn Renee’
46-Glover for her years of dedication to her passion of engineering and construction with the District
47-of Columbia and commitment to helping leaders within the industry develop and build upon their
48-leadership skills.
49-Sec. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
