| 20 | | - | Sec. 2. (a) On November 1, 2022, the Council passed the Coronavirus Immunization of |

| 22 | | - | 24-669; 69 DCR 14771), which is set to expire on February 20, 2023. |

| 23 | | - | (b) On November 15, 2022, the Council passed on second reading the Coronavirus |

| 24 | | - | Immunization of School Students Temporary Amendment Act of 2022, enacted on December 8, |

| 25 | | - | 2022 (D.C. Act 24- 678; 69 DCR 15080), which is expected to complete congressional review |

| 26 | | - | and become law on March 8, 2023. |

| 27 | | - | (c) Congressional review emergency legislation is necessary to prevent a gap in the law |

| 28 | | - | between the expiration of the emergency act and the effective date of the temporary act. |
