| 29 | | - | (b) On December 20, 2022, the Council passed the Political Committee Clarification |

| 30 | | - | Temporary Amendment Act of 2022, enacted on January 17, 2023 (D.C. Act 24- 771; 70 DCR |

| 31 | | - | 884) (“temporary measure”). The temporary measure has been transmitted to Congress and has a |

| 32 | | - | projected law date of March 16, 2023. |

| 33 | | - | (c) This congressional review emergency legislation is necessary to prevent a gap in the |

| 34 | | - | law between the expiration of the emergency measure and the effective date of the temporary |
