Enclosed for consideration and enactment
by the Council of the District of Columbia is a proposed
emergency resolution, the "Contract No. DCKA-2022-C-0007 with NovoaGlobal, Inc. Emergency
Approval Resolution
of 2023", and the accompanying emergency declaration resolution.
The legislation will approve multiyear Contract No. DCKA-2022-C-0007 with NovoaGlobal, Inc.
to provide leased portable and stationary traffic enforcement systems. The term
of the contract is
two years from the date
of award in the not-to-exceed amount of $6,385,824. ยท

A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve multiyear
Contract
No. DCKA-2022-C-0007 with NovoaGlobal, Inc. to provide leased
portable and stationary traffic enforcement systems.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That
this resolution
may be cited as the "Contract No. DCKA-2022-C-0007 with
NovoaGlobal, Inc. Emergency Declaration Resolution
of 2023 ".
Sec. 2. (a)
The Office of Contracting and Procurement, on behalf of the District
Department
of Transportation, proposes to enter into a multi year contract with
NovoaGlobal, Inc. to provide leased portable and stationary traffic enforcement systems.
(b) The not-to-exceed price for the term
of the contract is $6,385,824.00. The
period
of performance is two years from the date of the award.
( c) Approval on an emergency basis is necessary to allow the District to receive
the benefit
of this vital service in a timely manner.
Sec 3.
The Council of the District of Columbia determines that the circumstances
enumerated in section 2 constitute emergency circumstances making it necessary that the

of 2023 be adopted after a single reading.
35 Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
