	15	+	by the Council of the District of Columbia is a proposed
	16	+	emergency resolution, the "Contract No. DCKA-2022-C-0007 with NovoaGlobal, Inc. Emergency
	17	+	Approval Resolution
	18	+	of 2023", and the accompanying emergency declaration resolution.
	19	+	The legislation will approve multiyear Contract No. DCKA-2022-C-0007 with NovoaGlobal, Inc.
	20	+	to provide leased portable and stationary traffic enforcement systems. The term
	21	+	of the contract is
	22	+	two years from the date
	23	+	of award in the not-to-exceed amount of $6,385,824. ·

18		-	To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve multiyear Contract
19		-	No. DCKA-2022-C-0007 with NovoaGlobal, Inc. to provide leased portable and
20		-	stationary traffic enforcement systems.

22		-	RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
23		-	resolution may be cited as the “Contract No. DCKA-2022-C-0007 with NovoaGlobal, Inc.
24		-	Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2023”.

26		-	Sec. 2. (a) The Office of Contracting and Procurement, on behalf of the District
27		-	Department of Transportation, proposes to enter into a multiyear contract with NovoaGlobal,
28		-	Inc. to provide leased portable and stationary traffic enforcement systems.
29		-	(b) The not-to-exceed price for the term of the contract is $6,385,824. The period of
30		-	performance is 2 years from the date of the award.
31		-	(c) Approval on an emergency basis is necessary to allow the District to receive the
32		-	benefit of this vital service in a timely manner.

34		-	Sec 3. The Council determines that the circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute
35		-	emergency circumstances making it necessary that the Contract No. DCKA-2022-C-0007 with
36		-	NovoaGlobal, Inc. Emergency Approval Resolution of 2023 be adopted on an emergency basis.

38		-	Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
