| 25 | | - | Sec. 2. (a) On October 4, 2022, the Council passed the Department of For-Hire Vehicles |

| 26 | | - | Delivery Vehicle Traffic Enforcement Expansion Temporary Act of 2022, effective December |

| 27 | | - | 21, 2022 (D.C. Law 24-227; 69 DCR 13987) (“temporary act”). The temporary act is set to |

| 28 | | - | expire on August 3, 2023. |
|---|
| 29 | | - | (b) The provisions of this emergency legislation are identical to the temporary act and |
|---|
| 30 | | - | will prevent a gap in the law as the Council advances the permanent legislation. |

| 32 | | - | Sec. 3. The Council determines that the circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute |
