75+Colonel Arrington Liggins Dixon (US Army retired), president and owner of Arrington
76+Dixon and Associates
77+Inc, (ADAlnc), is a native and resident of Anacostia in Washington,
78+DC with a rich experience portfolio:
79+• a former computer systems engineer with the Radio Corporation of America
80+(RCA),
81+• a tenured associate professor of Computer Science at the Washington Technical
82+Institute (WTI) (later merged with two other post-secondary educational
83+institutions to form the University
84+of the District of Columbia (UDC)),

86+an elected public servant in the District of Columbia, having served as a
87+Councilmember and
88+as Chairman of the Council of the District of Columbia.

90+on the Council, he also represented the District of Columbia as a
91+member and chairman of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments
92+and the Pennsylvania Avenue Development Corporation (PADC).
93+• Dixon established and chaired the District of Columbia Taxicab Commission, now
94+known as the Department of For Hire Vehicles, located
95+in Anacostia.

97+on the Council of the District of Columbia, Dixon established and served

99+30 years as Chairman of the Anacostia Coordinating Council (ACC), a
100+volunteer membership consortium of organizations and individuals involved with the
101+revitalization of Anacostia and its adjacent neighborhoods that was funded through
102+ADAlnc.
103+Dixon has over
104+30 years of experience applying effective management and technical skills
105+to the design and implementation of creative solutions
106+in business and government
107+environments.
108+He is a certified fiber optics technician, a former tenured associate
109+professor of computer science at the University of the District of Columbia,
110+an adjunct
111+professor at Trinity College (now Trinity University),
112+and a guest scholar in
113+telecommunications at the Brookings Institution.
114+Dixon holds a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University's National Law
115+Center.
116+He has completed post-graduate work in computer and information systems at
117+American University and education technology at Catholic University.

120+of Arts degree from Howard University with a major in economics and a minor
121+in physics and math. Dixon also attended the United States Air Force Academy as a

123+In addition, Dixon is the former commander of the DC Selective Service
124+Detachment, served as special assistant to the Secretary of the Army, and

126+of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
