 Overall supervision of staff, up to and including orientation, 
implementation of policies and practices, staff development, 
performance evaluation, upkeep of good work ethics, and staff

 Oversee all responsibitlies for the safe and secure day-to-day 
operation of Unique Residential Care Center. Ensure that all 
security staff performs their duties within the facility in the most 
safe, and cost effective manner. Responsible for the overall 
relief of the reception area and coordination of the security 
department to protect facility, residents and personnel.  
 Investigates all reports of theft on the premises, employs the use 
of marking dye to identify perpetrators, conduct searches, 
ensuring that all legal avenues are followed, i.e. authorizations 
are obtained and reports are generated and submitted to 
appropriate parties. 
 Responsible for planning, organizing, and developing of overall 
operation of the housekeeping department in accordance with 
federal, state, and local standards and guidelines along with 
assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained

Garth Grannum 
 
Garth Grannum is the Director of Facility Operations at Unique 
Residential Care Center and is a current member of the Board of 
Industrial Trades. 
 
In his current role with the Unique Residential Care Center, Mr. 
Grannum manages four departments and also chairs the safety 
committee. Mr. Grannum is also currently an HVAC instructor at 
Prince George’s Community College. 
 
A Ward 4 resident, Mr. Grannum received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from
