7-A RESOLUTION
166+Ms. Teri Janine Quinn is a practicing attorney in the District. Currently,
167+she practices compliance law with a specific focus on anti-corruption,
168+anti-bribery, and money laundering issues. She spent a significant part
169+of her legal career practicing energy law at White & Case, LLP. As a
170+community activist, she has been honored as a Woman of Excellence by
171+the District of Columbia Commission for Women and by the DC
172+Federation of Civic Associations, among other honors.
173+Ms. Quinn is president of the Bloomingdale Civic Association
174+(“BCA”), a position she has held for over thirteen consecutive years. As
175+president of the BCA, she has successfully represented Bloomingdale
176+before several District agencies including the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration
177+(“ABCA”). Likewise, she has assisted many Bloomingdale residents and businesses on issues
178+related to ABCA.
179+Ms. Quinn also served as Chair of Advisory Neighborhood Commission (“ANC”) 5E in 2015 and
180+2016 and as Commissioner for Single Member District 5E06 for two consecutive terms. She was
181+the first Commissioner to be reelected as Chair of ANC 5E. Ms. Quinn was an appointed member
182+of the Mid- City East Advisory Committee and a member of the McMillan Advisory Group. She
183+is also a former Vice President of North Capitol Main Street, Inc.
184+Ms. Quinn was a Mayoral appointee on the Mayor’s Task Force on the Prevention of Flooding in
185+the Bloomingdale Area (“Task Force”). On the Task Force she worked with the directors of nine
186+agencies, the City Administrator and DC Water’s General Manager to determine the cause of the
187+flooding and to propose short, mid- and long- term solutions. Ms. Quinn was a constant advocate
188+on behalf of Bloomingdale residents. She is currently serving a second term as a Commissioner on
189+the District of Columbia Commission on Human Rights.
190+A Ward 5 resident, Ms. Quinn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas Southern
