335+Dr, James Huang, MD, FAAFP, is a board-certified family physician.
336+Dr. Huang started and runs the Comprehensive Medical Care for Deaf
337+Adults and Children (CODA Clinic) at Unity. He is fluent in Spanish
338+and American Sign Language (ASL). He also leads the Family Wellness
339+Group Visit program at Upper Cardozo Health Center, which focuses on
340+nutrition, physical activity and access to community resources. For
341+example, he implements the Produce Prescription program and
342+coordinated the Community Partners Program with Capital
343+Bikeshare. He holds clinical academic appointments at the George
344+Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and
345+A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine.
346+A Ward 5 resident, Dr. Huang earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont Larner
347+College of Medicine and graduated from the Family Medicine Residency Program in Social
348+Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. He is also on the board of directors for
349+Community Foodworks, an organization focused on increasing access to healthy local food and
350+creating viable markets for local farmers and producers in the mid-Atlantic region.
