18	61		To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve Contract No.
19		-	DCRL-2019-C-0084 with the Hospital for Sick Children Pediatric Center and
20		-	Modification Nos. 12, 13, 14, and 15 to Contract No. DCRL-2019-C-0084, and to
21		-	authorize payment for the services received and to be received under the contract.

23		-	RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
24		-	resolution may be cited as the “Contract No. DCRL-2019-C-0084 with the Hospital for Sick
25		-	Children Pediatric Center Approval and Payment Authorization Emergency Declaration
26		-	Resolution of 2024”.

28		-	Sec. 2. (a) There exists a need to approve Contract No. DCRL-2019-C-0084 and
29		-	Modification Nos. 12, 13, 14, and 15 and to authorize payment for the services received and to
30		-	be received under the contract.
31		-	(b) By Modification No. 12, the Child and Family Services Agency exercised option year
32		-	4 of Contract No. DCRL-2019-C-0084 in the not-to-exceed amount of $288,550.80 for the
33		-	period August 20, 2023, through August 19, 2024.
34		-	(c) Modification No. 13 was an administrative modification.
35		-	(d) Modification No. 14 increased the not-to-exceed amount to $947,408.46.
36		-	(e) Modification No. 15 increased the not-to-exceed amount to $1,627,007.23.
37		-	(f) Council approval is necessary because the modifications increased the value of the
38		-	contract to more than $1 million during a 12-month period.
39		-	(g) Approval is necessary to allow the continuation of these vital services. Without this
40		-	approval, the Hospital for Sick Children Pediatric Center cannot be paid for services provided in
41		-	excess of $1 million for the period August 20, 2023 to August 19, 2024.

43		-	Sec. 3. The Council determines that the circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute
44		-	emergency circumstances making it necessary that the Contract No. DCRL-2019-C-0084 with

	91	+	necessary since the modifications will increase the value of the contract to more than $1 million 40
	92	+	during a 12- month period. 41
