| 29 | | - | Pursuant to this legislation, a new Stabilization and Reform Board (“STAR Board”) assumed |

| 30 | | - | control over the operations of the District of Columbia Housing Authority (“DCHA”) at the start |

| 31 | | - | of 2023. The STAR Board’s authorizing legislation contemplates a 2-year term. |

| 32 | | - | (b) The Council has passed subsequent rounds of emergency and temporary legislation as |
|---|
| 33 | | - | necessary to maintain the STAR Board structure. The current law, the District of Columbia |

| 34 | | - | Housing Authority Stabilization and Reform Emergency Amendment Act of 2024, will expire on |
