	10	+	to section 451 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act (D.C. Official Code § 1-
	11	+	204.51) and section 202 of the Procurement Practices Reform Act of 2010 (D.C. Official Code §
	12	+	2-352.02), enclosed for consideration and approval by the Council of the District of Columbia is a
	13	+	proposed resolution, the “Multiyear Contract No. CW121294 with CDW Government LLC
	14	+	Emergency Approval Resolution of 2024,” and the accompanying declaration resolution.
	15	+	Under the proposed contract, CDW Government LLC will provide Microsoft products and services
	16	+	to the District in the not-to-exceed amount of $90,000,000.

	46	+	To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve multiyear Contract
	47	+	18 No. CW121294 with CDW Government LLC for Microsoft products and services, and to
	48	+	19 authorize payment for the goods and services to be received under the contract.

	50	+	21 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
	51	+	22 resolution may be cited as the "Multiyear Contract No. CW121294 with CDW Government LLC
	52	+	23 Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2024".
	53	+	24 Sec.
	54	+	2. (a) There exists an immediate need to approve multiyear Contract No. CW121294
	55	+	25 with CDW Government LLC for Microsoft products and services, and to authorize payment for
	56	+	26 the goods and services to be received under the contract.
	57	+	27 (b) Under section 451(b)(l) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved
	58	+	28 December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 803; D.C. Official Code§ 1-204.51(b)(l)), Council approval is
	59	+	29 necessary since the value of the contract is more than $1 million during a 12-month period.
	60	+	30 ( c) These critical services can only be obtained through an award of a multiyear contract
	61	+	31 with CDW Government LLC.
	62	+	32 (d) Approval is necessary to allow the District to receive the benefit of these vital
	63	+	33 services in a timely manner.

16		-	To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve multiyear Contract
17		-	No. CW121294 with CDW Government LLC for Microsoft products and services, and to
18		-	authorize payment for the goods and services to be received under the contract.
19		-	RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
20		-	resolution may be cited as the “Multiyear Contract No . CW121294 with CDW Government LLC
21		-	Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2024” .
22		-	Sec. 2. (a) There exists an immediate need to approve multiyear Contract No. CW121294
23		-	with CDW Government LLC for Microsoft products and services and to authorize payment for the goods and services to be received under the contract.
24		-	(b) Under section 451 of the Home Rule Act (D.C. Official Code § 1- 204.51) Council
25		-	approval is necessary because the contract is a multiyear contract .
26		-	(c) These critical services can only be obtained through an award of a multiyear contract

31		-	Sec 3. The Council determines that the circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute
32		-	emergency circumstances making it necessary that the Multiyear Contract No. CW121294 with CDW Government LLC Emergency Approval Resolution of 2024 be adopted on an emergency
33		-	basis.
34		-	Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
	68	+	Sec 3. The Council of the District of Columbia determines that the circumstances 34
	69	+	enumerated in section 2 constitute emergency circumstances making it necessary that the 35
	70	+	Multiyear Contract No. CW121294 with CDW Government LLC Emergency Approval 36
	71	+	Resolution of 2024 be adopted after a single reading. 37
	72	+	Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately. 38
