127 To recognize Katie Whitehouse for her diligent, compassionate service as Legislative Director to
138 Councilmember Robert C. White, Jr., and for her considerable contributions to the
149 residents of the District of Columbia.
1510 WHEREAS, Katie Whitehouse served in the At-Large Office of Councilmember Robert
1611 White for 6 years, beginning her tenure as a Legislative Assistant and ultimately serving as

1813 WHEREAS, Katie Whitehouse skillfully developed the Office’s priorities with

4237 innovation and enthusiasm for granular detail, including in recent efforts to systematically
4338 improve the efficacy of District agency budgeting practices;
4439 WHEREAS, Katie Whitehouse has served as a leader among leaders at the Council, by
4540 organizing her fellow senior staff across offices to identify and tackle quality-of-life challenges
4641 affecting Council hiring and retention, which in turn improves the District government’s ability
4742 to serve its people; and
4843 WHEREAS, the combination of Katie Whitehouse’s intelligence, keen political
4944 awareness, deep listening, and innate ability to form meaningful connections have earned her
5045 high levels of respect both inside and outside of the John A. Wilson Building.
5146 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
5247 resolution may be cited as the “Katie Whitehouse Recognition Resolution of 2025”.

5449 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia recognizes Katie Whitehouse for her
5550 years of devoted service as Legislative Director and her lasting impact on the District of
