202202 Dr. Cheryl Williams is a semi -retired pediatrician. She has aided the
203203 citizens of the District of Columbia for more than 23 years as a physician
204204 in the public health care system. Dr. Williams also served as a Medical
205205 Officer and Supervisory Medical Officer for the District of Columbia
206206 Community and School Health Program and worked as Medical
207207 Director of the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA). In this
208208 capacity, she provided executive leadership, strategic planning, and
209209 organizational development in administrative and clinical oversight in
210210 all matters related to the well-being of children, including physical and
211211 mental health and ancillary services.
212212 Dr. Williams played a role in creating CFSA’s on-site Medicaid-reimbursable medical clinic,
213213 which is staffed with nurse practitioners, for children entering, re-entering, and who experience a
214214 re-placement while in foster care.
215215 A Ward 7 resident, Dr. Williams earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Howard
