18 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT 	OF COLUMBIA, That this 
19 resolution may be cited as the "Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission Aisha Nixon 
20 Confirmation Resolution 
of 2025". 
21 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment 	of:

28 as a voting member of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission, established by 
29 section 2 of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Enactment Act 	of 2018, effective June 5, 
30 2018 (D.C. Law 22-109; D.C. Official Code§ 3-1271.11) , filling a vacant seat formerly held by 
31 Frank Meyers, to serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. 
32 Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy 	of this resolution, 
33 upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office 	of the Mayor.

Complaint Coordinator, Program Support Assistant and approximately 50 staff members. 
• Oversee budget management and funding allocation for all programs. 
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to enhance the electronic licensing system, facilitating online licensing for 
healthcare professionals. 
• Ensure compliance with open meeting laws, FOIA requests, and other government transparency requirements. 
• Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare regulation, providing testimony and guidance on telehealth, interstate compacts, and other licensing matters.

Aisha Nixon 
 
Ms. Aisha Nixon currently serves as the Associate Director for the 
Office of Health Professional Licensing Boards in the District of 
Columbia Department of Health (“DC Health”).  As Associate Director, 
Ms. Nixon is responsible for 19 different health professional boards 
which regulate over 72 professions and approximately 100,000 
healthcare professionals, three programs, and one health practitioner 
health program in the District of Columbia.  
Ms. Nixon has worked for DC Health since 2014, where she started as 
a Health Licensing Specialist and moved her way up to various roles.  
Prior to joining the regulatory arena, Ms. Nixon had over ten years of 
experience in the healthcare field, both in clinical and administrative capacities. She has developed 
into a passionate regulator with a focus on ensuring residents of the District of Columbia receive 
the best healthcare services possible and that licensees understand the role of regulatory 
authorities. She also completed the George Washington University’s Certified Public Manager 
program. 
A Ward 7 resident, Ms. Nixon earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science and her Master 
of Physical Therapy from Howard University.
