21- RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
22-resolution may be cited as “ Modification Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 to Contract No. DCAM -22-CS-
23-RFP-0026 with Chiaramonte Construction Company Approval and Payment Authorization
24-Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2025” .
25- Sec. 2 (a) There exis ts an immediate need to approve Modification Nos . 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and
26-6 to Contract No. DCAM -22-CS-RFP-0026 (“Contract”) with Chiaramonte Construction
27-Company to provide construction services for the
28-Public Safety Communications Center building
29-renovations
30-, and to authorize payment for the goods and services received and to be received
31-under the contract .
32-(b) From April 17, 2024, to September 05, 2024, by Modification Nos . 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5,
33-the Department of General Services incorporated the added costs for a dditional c onstruction
34-services into the Contract, increasing the total c ontract value amount by $998,611.36 to
35-$12,470,486.36.
36-(c) Proposed Modification No. 6 would increase the total c ontract v alue amount by
37-$1,223,392.70 to $13,693,879.06. Council approval is necessary because t he aggregate value of
38-Modification Nos . 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 and proposed Modification No. 6 is $2,222,004.06, an amount
39-over $1 million.
40-(d) Council approval is necessary to allow the continuation of the building renovation
41-services provided pursuant to the contract. Without Council approval, Chiarmonte Construction Company cannot be paid for goods and services provided in excess of $1 million.
42- Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia determines that the circumstances
43-enumerated in section 2 constitute emergency circumstances making it necessary that the Modification Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 to Contract No. DCAM -22-CS-RFP-0026 with ENROLLED ORIGINAL

25+Act of 2025”, along with the accompanying emergency declaration resolution.

27+The legislation will approve Modifications No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 to a Contract No. DCAM-22-
28+CS-RFP-0026 with Chiarmonte Construction Company to provide construction services for the
29+Major Renovations of Public Safety Communications Center (“PSCC”) Building project. The
30+legislation will also authorize payment under that contract for goods and services received and to
31+be received in the not-to-exceed amount of $13,693,879.06.
