A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To confirm the reappointment
of Andrew Huff to the Combat Sports Commission.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the "Combat Sports Commission Andrew Huff Confirmation
Resolution
of 2025".
Sec. 2. The Council
of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

as Chairperson
of the Combat Sports Commission, established by section 5 of the District of
Columbia Boxing and Wrestling Commission Act of 1975, effective October 8, 1975 (D.C. Law
1-20; D.C. Official
Code§ 3-604), for a term to end January 5, 2028.
Sec.
3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office
of the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

GOLDEN TRIANGLE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - WASHINGTON, D.C.

▪ Promote awareness of BID programs and activities through social media, newsletters, press conferences and
releases, and website.

Andrew Huff
Mr. Andrew Huff is the Associate Director of Member and Government
Relations at the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District and
current Chairperson of the Combat Sports Commission.
Previously, Mr. Huff was responsible for community relations at Sibley
Memorial Hospital and American University. Prior to that, he spent five
years with the Government of the District of Columbia. This included
working in the administration of Mayor Adrian Fenty in the Office of
Community Relations and Services, the Office of Property Management
(now the Department of General Services), the District Department of
Transportation, and the Metropolitan Police Department, as well as
working for the Council of the District of Columbia.
As a Commissioner, Mr. Huff will continue his work at both the local and national levels to ensure
that the District of Columbia remains a destination for combat sports events and that the District’s
local boxing scene and fighters receive the assistance and recognition they deserve.
Mr. Huff is active in local theater, with recent roles in Rorschach Theatre’s Night of the Living
Dead Live! (Main Zombie) and the Little Theatre of Alexandria’s A Christmas Carol (Jacob
Marley). Mr. Huff lives in Brightwood Park with his two sons, Fletcher and Cormac. They have
called the District of Columbia home for over two decades.
A Ward 4 resident, Mr . Huff earned his Bachelor of Arts from James Madison University and his
