of the Confirmation Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-
142; D.C. Official Code § 1-523.01), and pursuant to section 4 of An Act To establish and provide for 
the maintenance of a free public library and reading room in the District of Columbia, approved June 
3, 
1896 (29 Stat. 244; D.C. Official Code § 39-104), I am pleased to nominate the following individual	:

To confirm the reappointment 
of Maria Peace to the Board of Library Trustees. 
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this 
resolution may be cited 
as the "Board of Library Trustees Maria Peace Confirmation Resolution 
of 2025". 
Sec. 
2. The Council of the District of Columbia confim1s the reappointment of:

as a member of the Board of Library Trustees, established by section 4 	of An Act To establish 
and provide for the maintenance 
of a free public library and reading room in the District 	of

Sec. 
3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy 	of this resolution,

Maria Peace 
 
Ms. Maria Peace is the owner and project 	manager of a local family-
owned business, PMGL LLC. She and her husband have been serving 
families, businesses and government agencies in the District and 
neighboring areas for over 14 years.   
Prior to shifting her focus solely to PMGL LLC in 2019, Ms. Peace dually 
served as Program Manager at General Electric (GE) - Government 
Relations Global Research for 14 years. There she served as a liaison 
between GE and the Global Research Center (GRC) facilities, and 
interfaced with congressional, federal, and executive branches to build 
long term relationships. She also translated all strategic budget planning 
in efforts to financially fund businesses pertaining to technology, 
research, and development within the company for healthcare, power & energy, defense & 
security, and transportation in Latin America. 
In addition to her 20 years in the real estate/development industry, Ms. Peace has held a variety of 
roles such as Case Manager for The Child Center and Adult Services, Inc., Litigation Analyst at 
Consolidated Analysis Centers, Inc. CACI – 	Randstad, and Bilingual Closing Director at 
Millennium Title and Settlement Co., Inc. 
Ms. Peace and her young daughter, Lincoln, frequently visit District libraries, especially their 
neighborhood Francis A. Gregory Library and the MLK, Jr. Memorial Library downtown. Their 
family has attended special events, accessed digital and online resources on the library computers, 
and read books from the Kids Collection and from DCPL’s Books from Birth program together in 
the colorful reading areas. 
A Ward 7 resident, Ms. Peace earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and her Master of
