154154 Ms. Maria Peace is the owner and project manager of a local family-
155155 owned business, PMGL LLC. She and her husband have been serving
156156 families, businesses and government agencies in the District and
157157 neighboring areas for over 14 years.
158158 Prior to shifting her focus solely to PMGL LLC in 2019, Ms. Peace dually
159159 served as Program Manager at General Electric (GE) - Government
160160 Relations Global Research for 14 years. There she served as a liaison
161161 between GE and the Global Research Center (GRC) facilities, and
162162 interfaced with congressional, federal, and executive branches to build
163163 long term relationships. She also translated all strategic budget planning
164164 in efforts to financially fund businesses pertaining to technology,
165165 research, and development within the company for healthcare, power & energy, defense &
166166 security, and transportation in Latin America.
167167 In addition to her 20 years in the real estate/development industry, Ms. Peace has held a variety of
168168 roles such as Case Manager for The Child Center and Adult Services, Inc., Litigation Analyst at
169169 Consolidated Analysis Centers, Inc. CACI – Randstad, and Bilingual Closing Director at
170170 Millennium Title and Settlement Co., Inc.
171171 Ms. Peace and her young daughter, Lincoln, frequently visit District libraries, especially their
172172 neighborhood Francis A. Gregory Library and the MLK, Jr. Memorial Library downtown. Their
173173 family has attended special events, accessed digital and online resources on the library computers,
174174 and read books from the Kids Collection and from DCPL’s Books from Birth program together in
175175 the colorful reading areas.
176176 A Ward 7 resident, Ms. Peace earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and her Master of
