182182 Ms. Aza Nedhari currently serves as the Founding Executive Director
183183 of Mamatoto Village, a perinatal family support organization in
184184 Washington, DC, that has been successful in securing Medicaid
185185 Managed Care reimbursement for non- clinical perinatal support
186186 services. She brings more than 18 years of experience in youth
187187 development, reproductive and sexual health education, program
188188 management and development, and curriculum design.
189189 Ms. Nedhari has also designed a comprehensive curriculum for training
190190 perinatal health workers through a two-year workforce development
191191 program that builds upon the community health worker model.
192192 Ms. Nedhari is a fiercely dedicated woman who believes that by promoting health equity the
193193 reduction of barriers in maternal and child health begin to dissipate, giving rise to healthy
194194 individuals, families, and communities. She is currently a doctoral student at Capella University,
195195 studying organizational leadership and management, with an eye towards cultivating innovative
196196 models of perinatal care delivery in high needs communities.
197197 A Maryland resident, Ms. Nedhari earned her Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies and
198198 Criminal Justice from Temple University and her Master of Science in Marriage, Couple, and
