HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 128
RECOGNIZING MAY 6-10, 2024, AS "TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK" IN THE STATE OF DELAWARE.
WHEREAS, teachers work tirelessly to open childrens minds to ideas, knowledge, and dreams; and WHEREAS, teachers mold our future citizens through guidance and education; and WHEREAS, teachers are to be afforded high public esteem, reflecting the value our community places on public education; and WHEREAS, it is paramount that teachers be recognized for their dedication and commitment to educating our students; and WHEREAS, teachers continue to influence students long after school days are completed; and WHEREAS, teachers create an atmosphere for children to grow and learn, and they inspire creativity and motivate their students; and WHEREAS, teachers encounter students of widely differing backgrounds and fill many roles in the lives of those students; and WHEREAS, teachers spend countless hours preparing lessons, evaluating progress, counseling, and coaching students and performing community service; and WHEREAS, our countrys future depends upon providing quality education to all students; and WHEREAS, we recognize and support our teachers in educating the children of this State. NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the 152nd General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the Senate concurring therein, that in celebration of and in gratitude for the work of the teachers in our State, we hereby recognize the week of May 6-10, 2024, as Teacher Appreciation Week.
