SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 115
EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE OF THE DELAWARE INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION ("DIAA") TASK FORCE.
WHEREAS, the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) Task Force was established under Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 19 of the 152 nd General Assembly, and amended under Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 63, to study and make findings and recommendations to best address the needs of student athletes and ensure the effective and efficient function of DIAA; and WHEREAS, the DIAA Task Force was directed to submit its findings and recommendations report no later than March 1, 2024, to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, with copies to all members of the General Assembly; the Governor; the Director and the Librarian of the Division of Research of Legislative Council; and the Delaware Public Archives; and WHEREAS, the DIAA Task Force has worked diligently on its study, but is not yet prepared to submit its report; and WHEREAS, the DIAA Task Force will continue working on its study to complete the development of its findings and recommendations; and WHEREAS, the members of the Task Force believe that they will be able to submit the report by April 30, 2024. NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 152 nd General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that the date by which the findings and recommendations report of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association Task Force is due be extended to April 30, 2024.
