RECOGNIZING APRIL 29 TO MAY 4, 2024, AS "AUCTIONEERS WEEK" IN THE STATE OF DELAWARE.
WHEREAS, auctioneering is one of historys oldest professions; and WHEREAS, auctions continue to be a fair, transparent, and effective means of establishing fair market value; and WHEREAS, auction professionals strive to advance the auction method of marketing and subscribe to the highest- level Code of Ethics in serving the American public; and WHEREAS, auctions raise millions of dollars for charities every year; and WHEREAS, the designation of Auctioneers Week by the State of Delaware will heighten public awareness of the contributions made by auctioneers. NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 152nd General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that we recognize April 29 to May 4, 2024, as Auctioneers Week in the State of Delaware.
