RECOGNIZING MAY 1 TO MAY 6, 2023, AS "AUCTIONEERS WEEK" IN THE STATE OF DELAWARE.
WHEREAS, auctioneering is one of historys oldest professions; and WHEREAS, auctions continue to be a fair, transparent, and effective means of establishing fair market value; and WHEREAS, auction professionals strive to advance the auction method of marketing and subscribe to the highest- level Code of Ethics in serving the American public; and WHEREAS, auctions raise millions of dollars for charities every year; and WHEREAS, the designation of Auctioneers Week by the State of Delaware will heighten public awareness of the contributions made by auctioneers. NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 152nd General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that we recognize May 1 to May 6, 2023, as Auctioneers Week in the State of Delaware.
